Aerobics & Fitness 

 

Research shows that varying your workout helps keep both your body and mind stimulated. At the Doyle Community Center, we offer a wide variety of fitness activities and classes to ensure your workout stays fresh. Additionally, we can modify classes to accommodate every level of student, from beginner to expert. Take a look at the many aerobics and fitness classes offered at the Doyle Center.

Morning Madness

Start your Monday morning off right! Talia uses different types of High Intensity Interval Training, Resistance Training, Functional Training, and Core work to transform your body.

Indoor Cycling

This stationary bike exercise class is rooted in the principals, approach, and science of real outdoor cycling. The program is simple, non-intimidating, and user friendly for both beginners and more experienced riders. Classes fill up FAST! Check out what everyone is talking about!!! Indoor cycling classes are included in all Full Service memberships, all other members and non-members must pay for this class. U30 The Ultimate

30 Circuit or U30 is a 30 minute workout designed to get you results fast. An instructor will lead you through this intense full body workout and push you to the next level. Every class will feature a new circuit, so we’ll keep you and your body guessing. Show up ready to workout at anytime during the U30 hours, a workout starts every 1-3 minutes. All levels are encouraged to try U30, our instructors are dedicated to help you achieve your fitness goals. Instructor: Talia Yeoman/Shelly Landino/Leanne Barnell

Pump Up the Volume

Barbells, dumbbells, medicine balls and you! Call it strength training or call it toning… You’ll define, tighten, and tone your entire body from front to back. This workout will deliver results! Instructor: Carol Dustin

Kettlebells

A full body workout using a kettlebell and traditional kettlebell moves like a swing. Most movements will be done with a light weight and will incorporate muscle strength and endurance along with core and cardio. Instructor: Shelly Landino

Boxing Circuit

Boxers are among the fittest athletes. This class is designed to get you in shape by training like a boxer. Boxing requires strength, muscular endurance, aerobic and anaerobic fitness, and power. This circuit will include heavy bags, mitt work, high intensity intervals, and functional training to challenge (and change) your body. Boxing gloves are recommended. Pound

Channel your inner rockstar with this full-body cardio jam session, inspired by drumming. Using Ripstix, lightly weighted exercise drumsticks, torch calories and tone while rocking out to music. Instructor: Mary Miller

Yoga Yoga Flow

Also called vinyasa yoga, combines flowing movement with rhythmic breathing for a dynamic mind-body workout. Gain strength, balance, power, and flexibility, all while burning calories and relieving stress. Instructor: Connie Leighton

Yoga/Pilates On The Ball

Stretch, strengthen, and lengthen your muscles with this CORE focused toning class. You’ll perform Pilate’s exercises and Yoga “asanas” using large and small body balls. Learn postural alignment and breathing techniques to improve balance and energize your body. Instructor: Carol Dustin

Silver Sneakers

Get Fit, Have Fun, Make New Friends Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance and a chair is used for seated or standing support. Instructor: Michelle Klar/Carol Dustin

YogaStretch by SilverSneakers

YogaStretch moves your whole body through a complete series of seated & standing Yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance, and range of motion. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation promote stress reduction and mental clarity. Created by the SilverSneakers program, YogaStretch is modified to suit students of any age or flexibility level. Instructor: Carol Dustin
