At the Doyle Community Center, our goal is to provide the aerobics equipment and training needed to help people of all ages achieve optimal health and fitness. To that end, we offer different membership options to meet everyone’s specific fitness needs. FULL SERVICE: A full-service membership provides full access to the entire facility. This includes all fitness areas, the multi-purpose courts, and the walking/running track. Also included with this membership are court rentals, aerobic/fitness classes, towel service, and one locker. (Families receive one in each locker room)
FAMILY: A family membership applies to all individuals residing in the same household who are filing joint taxes. Children consist of those persons being claimed as dependents. A family membership provides access to the general fitness areas of the facility as well as the walking/running track. All family members must pay for court rentals, towel service, and lockers, all at a reduced “member rate.”
ADULT: This membership, for one individual adult, provides access to the general fitness areas of the facility as well as the walking/running track. The individual must pay for court rentals, towel service, and lockers, all at a reduced “member rate.”
TRACK: This membership only provides use of the walking/running track. A “track member” must purchase a day pass for utilizing the fitness areas and pay the non-member rates for court rentals, aerobic/fitness classes, towel service, and lockers.
FREE AEROBIC/FITNESS CLASSES: Aerobic/fitness classes are now included with all* 12-month membership contracts. (*Excludes Track & Senior Walking Memberships)
SENIOR MEMBERSHIP (Individual or Couple): This membership will allow access to the general fitness areas of the facility including the walking/running track. The member must pay for court rentals, aerobic classes, towel service, and lockers, all at a reduced “member rate.”
WALKING MEMBERSHIP (Individual or Couple): This membership is good only for the use of the walking/running track. A “walking member” must either purchase a day pass or be a SilverSneakers Member to utilize the fitness areas of the facility. This membership does not receive a discount on court rentals, towel service, or lockers.
SILVERSNEAKERS: To qualify for this membership, a person must have supplemental insurance through either Humana or AARP and must be enrolled in the SilverSneakers program at the Doyle Center. This membership allows access to the general fitness areas of the facility, including the walking/running track, and includes court rentals and aerobic classes at no additional cost. Towel service and lockers may be purchased at a reduced “member rate.” COMMISSION ON AGING (COA):This program allows the COA member to attend any Senior Aerobic or SilverSneakers Class at no cost. This membership does not include access to the general fitness areas of the facility nor does it include the use of the walking/running track.
WALKING PUNCH CARD: A person who purchases a walking punch card may use one “punch” per day to gain access to the facility to use the walking/running track. This card does not include use of the general fitness areas of the facility and cannot be used for attending aerobic classes or for court rentals.
CLASS DROP-IN: This “pay as you go” option is for people who want to pay for individual classes as they attend them. You must stop at the front desk prior to attending class to purchase a “drop-in” pass for that specific class. This option does not include the general fitness areas of the facility nor does it include the use of the walking/running track.
GENERAL 1-DAY PASS: A general 1-day pass may be purchased at the front desk and allows access to the general fitness areas of the facility including the walking/running track for that day only. The 1-day member must pay for court rentals, aerobic classes, towel service, and lockers, all at a reduced “member rate.”
CORPORATE: A variety of corporate membership plans are available to meet the specific needs of your Company including full memberships, family, and track-only options. Depending on the number of employees interested in utilizing Doyle’s facilities, you may qualify for discount pricing. MILITARY: We offer special membership options for current active-duty military personnel and their families. Contact Doyle Community Center to take advantage of these great savings.
The Doyle Community Center offers three multi-purpose courts that may be used for basketball, volleyball, tennis, soccer, and floor hockey. One additional court is available for racquetball and wallyball. Rates: $3hr per person for Doyle Members $6hr per person for Non-Members ($25hr per court maximum fee) *1/2 hour minimum, 2-hour maximum. Prices are subject to change.
Daily Guest Passes
General facility use only, cost of court rental and fitness/aerobic classes not included. Guest Passes may also be purchased for 3 months or 6 months. Call or stop by the Front Desk for more information. *Prices are subject to change w/o notice.
All Recreation and Doyle programs are available to anyone regardless of Doyle Community Center membership status. New Collaborative Program Fee Structure.The City of Sturgis provides a variety of youth and adult recreational programming opportunities throughout the year which adds to the quality of life of our community. A substantial number of residents outside of the City of Sturgis participate in these programs and use our facilities. A partnership with other municipal jurisdictions has been established which affords their residents the opportunity to participate in our programs while paying the City Resident Fee. Any non-resident whose township or municipal jurisdiction does not participate in the Recreation Program Participation Fee Agreement will pay the Non-Resident Fee/Program Fee. Partnering townships include Fawn River Township, Sherman Township, and Sturgis Township. Due to this collaboration, please be prepared to show proof of residency at the time of registration to receive the discounted rate.
Refund Policy: Refunds will only be given in cases where the Recreation Department has canceled classes or receives written notification of the reason class cannot be attended before the first class session. Credit memos will be given for cancellation after the first class. No other refunds or credit memos will be issued after the second class session. The Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient registration, loss of instructor or loss of space availability.
Nothing Kills a Program Quicker…
Then waiting until the last minute to register for it. At some point, a decision must be made on whether to cancel a program due to lack of enrollment. Registration at the last minute may mean that the program has already been canceled.
